Amir’s Teaching PortfolioResearch-Based Teaching and Analytical Skills
My research has significantly informed my teaching over the years. With over six years of training during my master’s and doctoral studies in conducting high-level research within the broad field of Management Information Systems, I have developed skills and expertise that have seamlessly transferred into my teaching practice. Some key highlights include:
Hands-on experience with programming languages and data analysis tools, including R, SPSS, Python, and SQL, which I integrate into classroom instruction.
Designing a variety of studies that have culminated in peer-reviewed publications, enabling me to bring evidence-based insights to my teaching.
Hands-on experience in software, app, and web development as part of my doctoral studies, which informs practical applications of technology in my courses.
A robust portfolio of research employing techniques such as surveys, field experiments, interviews, multi-criteria decision-making modeling, structural equation modeling, and case studies has allowed me to offer a diverse and inclusive perspective to students from various backgrounds and interests.
A thorough understanding of the literature, history and current developments at the intersection of technology and business, helping students connect theory with real-world applications.
A multifaceted publication history in topics such as cybersecurity, privacy laws, risk management, judgment and decision-making, innovation, and emerging technologies has equipped me with the ability to teach a wide range of courses over the years.
