Evidence of Teaching Excellence

This page provides evidence of my teaching strengths since I began my tenure at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater in 2021. First, the overall average from evaluation forms (on a scale of 1 to 5) is presented. This average represents the mean of the median scores for all questions (Global Index). While the university provides various statistics, this metric is primarily used to assess faculty teaching performance. Second, for each course taught, a selection of constructive, positive and detailed comments is included to showcase the effectiveness of my teaching approach from the perspectives of a diverse range of students at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Finally, when available, comments from peer evaluations by other faculty members are also included for each course. All evaluation results are available upon request.

Great personality and puts alot of time into his teaching and lectures.
Everything was done well, I loved the whole course content. I came in nervous because I don't do too well with topics such as operations or supply chain, but he made it so easy to understand each concept and the practices we made were always so helpful, same for teamwork, I always enjoyed it. Felt prepared for exams as well. I would take another class from this instructor again
He structured the course in a very organized way that supported our learning. He also provided plenty of opportunities to fully understand the material through application milestones, weekly activities, simulations, and other hands-on work.
Amir was a great professor that made this course clear and organized with his Canvas page and lectures. He doesn't use "fluff" in his lectures/notes, only preparing students for what we need to learn for the tests, which I appreciated. He is knowledgeable about the field and very approachable. Overall, Amir was great.
Dr. Amir is the best professor UW-Madison has. Arguably the best between him and Professor Tuli from the international business department. Dr. Amir is so funny, he has the best jokes, the best music taste, and he's super supportive. During activities Dr. Amir walks around the room and checks in with all the tables and asks if there are any questions and one more huge shoutout is when he starts a short quick discussion on the questions just to see the way his students are thinking about it. He always relates to students as well and expresses how he understands what it's like to be a student and he tells stories about what his journey was like up to his PhD. Overall a very likable and respected professor.
